As a Policy Officer (AO5) within Georesources Policy, you will be part of a dynamic team providing policy support, advice and guidance on mining, petroleum and gas initiatives. Your work will contribute to the effective regulation and development of Queensland's resources sector and support the delivery of Government priorities.
In this role, you will research and analyse complex policy and legislative issues and contribute to the development of practical policy solutions. Your day may involve preparing and contributing to high quality briefing notes, submissions, reports, correspondence and other materials for senior officers and stakeholders. You will work collaboratively with colleagues across the department, other levels of government, industry and non government organisations, and represent the team at meetings and working groups as required.
Success in this role will be demonstrated through well reasoned analysis, clear written communication, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities while working effectively as part of a team.
