About the role
Work closely with the Rural Interprofessional Clinical Educator to support, coordinate and deliver high-quality clinical education and training across Allied Health Services at Mount Isa Hospital.
You will provide leadership and expert advice across a diverse multidisciplinary service, supporting student placements, building supervisor capability and contributing to innovative models of care that strengthen the rural and remote allied health workforce.
- Coordinating and supporting allied health student placements (high school and university), including liaison with universities and placement partners
- Delivering and supporting clinical education, supervision and training initiatives for students, allied health staff, supervisors and early career practitioners
- Contributing to workforce development, quality improvement and innovative models of care aligned with service priorities
Working with us
- Eligible health practitioners entitled to accrue an additional three days professional development leave per annum, resulting in a total of six days professional development leave per annum.
- Eligible health practitioners working in designated remote areas will be entitled to a professional development allowance of $3,512.00 per annum.
- Rural and Remote incentive: Category D allowance of $431.22 p.f.
- Tax savings through salary sacrificing options are also available.

Requirements
- Mandatory requirements are a relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences.
- C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
- Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
- This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
- A period of probation may apply.
- Potential applicants are advised that the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian Act 2000 may require Queensland Health to seek a ‘working with children check; from the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian prior to appointment to this position.
