Director, Cybersecurity Enhancement. The Queensland Government Cyber Security Unit within the Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business provides leadership, governance, policy development, services and capability building to enhance the government’s cybersecurity resilience. As a key member of the team, you will drive the development and delivery of whole-of-government cybersecurity enhancement programs, ensuring the delivery of effective, tangible and sustainable cybersecurity outcomes for Government agencies. You will also provide expert advice on cybersecurity technical and strategic matters, ensuring alignment with government priorities and enhancing transparency and security across agencies.

As the Director, Cybersecurity Enhancement, you will:
• Provide expert technical and strategic advice, direction and recommendations on whole-of-government cybersecurity enhancement opportunities and initiatives in alignment with the evolution of cybersecurity threats and trends. This may include developing strategies, policies, business cases and delivery plans and participating in the development of technical guides.
• Direct the development and management of whole-of-government cybersecurity enhancement programs, ensuring government agencies realise cybersecurity outcomes through effective, tangible and sustainable risk reductions and compliance improvements.
• Drive and oversee the effective management of program budgets, risks, issues and dependencies that may impact on the successful implementation of cybersecurity programs.
• Build and manage effective relationships with cybersecurity partners involved in the development and delivery of cybersecurity programs. This includes vendors, third-party service providers, Queensland and Commonwealth Government partners.
• Lead and mentor a team of cybersecurity and program delivery specialists.
• Build trusted relationships with senior officers in Government agencies, and cross-jurisdictional partners to communicate, influence, support, and advance the State's cybersecurity strategy and agenda.
• Represent the Queensland Government Cyber Security Unit at relevant internal and external forums.
