In this role, you'll be responsible for supporting visitor management and enhancing visitor experiences across the region. You'll assist with planning and delivering projects that improve park infrastructure, signage, and facilities, ensuring they meet the needs of visitors while protecting the environment. Key duties include liaising with stakeholders, including Traditional Owners, local landholders, and tourism operators, to foster collaboration and ensure cultural and natural values are respected. You'll also contribute to public education by providing advice to visitors and helping to promote sustainable park use.
This position is not field-based but focuses on delivering technical and administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of visitor services. You'll use various computer systems to manage data, prepare reports, and support compliance activities related to permits and regulations. While your role is primarily office-based, you'll occasionally participate in site visits for inspections, project planning, or stakeholder engagement. As part of a supportive team, you'll play an important role in improving visitor access, safety, and enjoyment across some of Queensland's most iconic parks.
