The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Clinical Nurse (Emergency Department – Load Share Outsourcing) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Provide clinical expertise and assist in the provision, governance, and coordination of evidence-based patient care
- Proactively liaise with the clinical management team and escalate concerns
- Liaise with private provider to maintain accurate records relating to patients
- Collaborate in the management and coordination of care for recipients of healthcare services once admitted via external pathway
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
- Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent Part Time (up to 64 hrs p.f.)
- Base salary ranging from $57.48 - $61.55 per hour
About Us
Clinical Contract Management is a dynamic team responding efficiently to barriers to discharge, access, and demand capacity escalations. The team consists of Clinical Nurse Consultants, Nurse Managers and Administration Officers. The role works closely with the Patient Access and Flow Team based in the Coordination Hub at Gold Coast University Hospital (GCUH). The Clinical Contract Management team are responsible for external treatment pathways and prehospital diversion - Emergency Department Load Share (EDLS), and public to private capacity transfers.
The Clinical Nurse (CN) Outsourcing role is an indirect clinical role responsible for assisting in coordination of treatment and care for public patients receiving care in private facilities under Clinical Services Standing Offer Arrangement (SOA). The role is also responsible for monitoring and data entry, to ensure accurate recording of clinical care received from private facilities and monitoring of length of stay.
