About us:
Welcome to Central Queensland Mental Health, supporting communities across Rockhampton, the Capricorn Coast, Gladstone, Central Highlands and Banana. It's a wide reach, real impact kind of service, with Rockhampton as the main hub (think: where the action happens).
Step into the future of mental health care. A brand-new 32-bed Adult Inpatient Unit is about to open at Rockhampton Hospital, and you could be right there from the start. New facility, new energy, and a genuine chance to help shape how care is delivered.
If you're the right fit, you could score visa sponsorship, relocation support, and even short-term accommodation to get you settled.
About the role:
As a Clinical Nurse Consultant, you're stepping into a space where you lead, influence, and elevate care every single day. Drive high-quality patient outcomes by bringing your advanced clinical expertise to the table while also shaking things up (in a good way) by introducing best practice, fresh ideas, and smarter ways of working.
You'll practice with a high level of autonomy, making confident decisions, leading from the front, and working closely with a multidisciplinary team to get the best outcomes for consumers and their families.
Take on operational leadership, help shape a positive team culture, and champion learning, development, and growth across the workforce.
You'll guide and support staff day-to-day. Helping onboard new team members, providing supervision, and working alongside the Nurse Unit Manager and Clinical Facilitator to keep the team strong, supported, and thriving. From contributing to strategy and planning, to improving policies and programs, your voice will directly influence how mental health services are delivered.
About you:
- You're a Registered Nurse with AHPRA and all your credentials ready to go. Organised, legit, and good to start when the checks are done. Easy.
- You think critically, communicate clearly, and make solid decisions. Care planning, problem solving, and clinical judgement? All in your wheelhouse.
- You build positive, professional relationships with ease. You collaborate, contribute, and help create a team environment that's supportive, effective, and genuinely focused on the consumer.
- You get involved in quality improvement, service development, and making sure care is always moving toward best practice.
- The vibe: Confident. Collaborative. Forward-thinking.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $173,368 is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $70.58 - $76.63 p.h.
