As our Senior Operations Coordinator (Aerial Operations) you will:
• Supervise the allocation of work assignments and tracking of progress from direct reports. Establish parameters for staff to exercise own initiative and escalate matters.
• Plan, coordinate, execute (when appropriate) and maintain oversight of all training activities (e.g. inductions, toolbox talks etc.) as well as:
o Monitor and report on training progress and take appropriate action when required to deliver desired outcomes
o Take action to maintain the required standard of operational performance
o Maintain auditable records
• Assist with regular risk reviews and ensure risk is managed at an operational level by maintaining the operational risk register. Design and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Assist with planning and ensuring adequate operational resources are in place for assigned area in terms of output quality and quantity, cost, and labour requirements.
This includes managing stakeholders, and their expectations as applies to your work.
• Contribute to the operational quality through periodic updating of standard operating procedures, work instructions and policy within assigned area of responsibility.
• Provide high level advice to the Manager (Aerial Operations) on fire ant aerial operational risk management, operational efficiency, performance, and policy development to address the identified issues
• Manage a diverse occupational group/multi-disciplinary team. Ensure all HR responsibilities are undertaken according to DPI policy; including recruitment, performance management and leave applications.
• Implement instructions or other guidelines relating to the operations, policies or functions of the work area.
• Use stakeholder engagement and conflict resolution skills to negotiate issues involving both internal and external stakeholders. This may include resolving internal local level complaints and dispute.
• Be flexible and able to work amongst a fast paced and diverse team environment, with interchangeable skillsets.
You may also have -
• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or relevant transferable experience would be desirable.

Licences and registrations
• Current unrestricted ‘C' Class drivers' licence
