We're excited to welcome a Clinical Nurse to our Surgical and Critical Care Inpatient Unit (IPU) 3B at Sunshine Coast University Hospital.

The Clinical Nurse leads and delivers person centred nursing care at an advanced level based on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Registered Nurse Standards for Practice.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Practice autonomously and provide leadership in clinical decision making to give and/or coordinate care to particular recipients of healthcare services.
• Specialist services include:
  • Pre and post operative management of all low to moderate acuity surgical patients
  • Surgical and Trauma admissions/nursing assessments and cares supporting a range of hospital entry points including Department of Emergency, Inter-hospital Transfers, Intra-Hospital Transfers, Unplanned Clinical referrals and Planned Elective procedures
• Assume responsibility for professional leadership for a ward, service or unit in the absence of the Nurse Grade 7.
• Adhere to defined service quality standards, health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being understand to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.

Remuneration value up to $139 252 p.a., comprising salary between $113 979 - $122 064 p.a. (f/t), or salary rates: $57.48 - $61.55 p.h. (p/t), employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 6 (1) (full time and/or part time positions available, hours negotiable).
