Your new role:
As a Psychologist Senior, you will play a key role in delivering advanced clinical services within the Adult Acute Psychiatric Unit at Princess Alexandra Hospital. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to high-quality, patient-centred care while supporting service innovation and clinical excellence.
- Deliver evidence-based psychological assessment, intervention and care
- Provide clinical leadership, supervision and support to junior staff and students
- Contribute to service development, quality improvement and research initiatives
- Collaborate across teams to support safe, effective patient care and discharge planning
About you:
You are an experienced and motivated Psychologist with a passion for acute mental health and delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to manage complex clinical caseloads with sound judgement
- Strong communication and collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teams
- Experience in supervision, training and supporting developing clinicians
- Commitment to continuous improvement, evidence-based practice and patient-centred care

About us:
The Princess Alexandra Hospital Adult Inpatient Mental Health Unit is a 65 bed Unit facility which is a designated mental health facility under the Queensland Mental health Act 2016. The Multidisciplinary team aims to provide high quality, safe, patient focused specialised mental health and drug and alcohol care to patients who are usually over the age of 18 years, and who present with severe mental illness or are at risk of developing severe mental illness. Care provided is multidisciplinary, trauma informed, family centric, culturally sensitive, evidence based and recovery oriented.
