Your new Role:
As Principal Business Analyst, you will bring specialist genomics expertise to support Cancer Alliance Queensland in delivering the Cancer Amendments Implementation Project. You will work closely with clinicians, pathologists and technical teams to define clinical and business requirements, translate complex genomics data into meaningful insights, and contribute to the design of a future-ready Queensland Cancer Register. This role plays a critical part in shaping information architecture, improving data interoperability, and enabling high-quality cancer research and health service planning across Queensland.
About You:
You are a skilled and collaborative business analyst with strong genomics expertise and a passion for improving cancer data to support better health outcomes. You will have:
- Proven experience in cancer genomics data analysis and curation
- Strong understanding of diagnostic pathology workflows and systems
- Ability to translate complex clinical needs into clear requirements
- Excellent communication skills across clinical and technical audiences
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders

About Cancer Alliance Queensland
Cancer Alliance Queensland drives clinician-led improvement in cancer care across Queensland.
QCCAT manages the Queensland Cancer Register, ensuring accurate data collection, compliance and reporting to support research and outcomes. It supports The Partnership, enabling clinicians to use data to improve care. Key platforms include the Queensland Oncology Repository, linking statewide patient data, and QOOL, supporting multidisciplinary cancer care.
QCCAT partners with healthcare, academic and government stakeholders to deliver data-driven improvements in cancer services.
