Director Planning, Performance and Reporting

Reporting to the Executive Director, GAIM, you will lead a high-performing team to shape and deliver the department’s planning, performance and reporting frameworks. This is a pivotal leadership role where your ability to translate strategy into action, and data into insight, will directly influence organisational outcomes. This role suits a strategic thinker with strong judgement, a sharp eye for performance, and the ability to lead through influence in a complex environment. Fixed term temporary until 18 October 2026.

Role fit
In this role you will be valued for your experience in the area and your ability to manage team members. You will lead team leaders and/or multiple projects or areas of work, under broad direction from an executive or more senior program leader.
The essential requirements for this role are:
- Highly developed leadership and managerial proficiency, including the ability to develop a high performing team, and to apply resource management skills to ensure resources are optimally allocated in meeting defined goals.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, develop and implement opportunities to achieve improvements in governance, specifically in relation to planning and reporting.
- Demonstrated high level skills in communication, consultation and negotiation and the ability to lead a team and work effectively in a team environment.
- Experience in developing insightful and comprehensive reporting including executive correspondence such as briefing notes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on innovation.
