About the role
This role provides advanced clinical knowledge and skills to deliver specialised contemporary evidence-based Domestic and Family Violence (DFV) consultation and leadership within Community and Acute Services (CAS), Mental Health, Addictions, Custodial Health and Statewide Services team. This role is responsible for the embedding of the DFV Capability Framework in partnership with WMH DFV Specialist Health Workforce (SHW) to ensure the education and upskilling of all mental health staff.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Advanced mental health clinical skills and knowledge with experience leading practice and improvement in workforce skills capability across acute and community mental health and substance use clinical settings.
- Contemporary clinical social work practice related to the intersections of complex and severe mental health and substance use and DFV, including knowledge of contemporary evidence based DFV practices and legislation with the ability to provide high level advice to key roles across the directorate, Hospital and Health Service, and all professional disciplines.
- Ability to work co-operatively with a diverse range of multi-disciplinary teams and use of well-developed oral and written communication skills to enable coordinated and effective treatment plans to address the complex needs of those consumers experiencing or who are using DFV.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
