About the role
This is a non‑training position ideal for doctors looking to further develop their clinical and procedural skills while gaining valuable exposure to orthopaedic surgery within a supportive, consultant‑led environment.
You will provide high‑quality clinical care under supervision, participate in on‑call rosters, and contribute to a dynamic multidisciplinary service delivering care across Metro North.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Provide clinical care of inpatient and outpatients (including in theatre), under the supervision of a Consultant and/or Registrar, as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team, including ensuring continuity of care both within the Department and with external service providers.
- Contribute to quality patient care by continually monitoring and reviewing patient progress and adjust management plans when necessary and ensure discharge planning commences early in the process of inpatient care.
- Actively contribute to maintaining a safe workplace that values the health and safety of co-workers, clients or visitors.
- Ensure patients and other staff are treated fairly and with mutual respect and understanding, regardless of cultural, religious, ethnic and linguistic backgrounds.
