Manager, Security Operations. The Cyber Defence team within the Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business’s Queensland Government Cyber Security Unit (QGCSU) help Queensland Government entities better prevent, prepare for, respond to, and recover from, cyber incidents through a centrally led program.
As a key member of the team, you will be required to work closely with staff and key stakeholders to deliver a broad range of security services and provide detection and response capability leadership to mature and improve service delivery.

As the Manager, Security Operations, you will:
• Develop and implement processes, procedures, and best practices to enhance incident response and operational efficiency.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the security operations centre (SOC), ensuring efficient and effective incident detection, analysis and response.
• Supervise SOC personnel, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and professional development
• Lead cyber incident response activities engaging with internal and external parties as needed.
• Ensure the effective use of SOC tools and technologies and recommend upgrades or new solutions as needed.
• Engaging with clients to continuously improve services.
• Launch new and optimise existing Cyber Defence products across managed security services.
• Conduct post incident reviews to identify root cause of incidents, then developing remediations to improve.
