About the role
Provides clinical and leadership support to physiotherapy services delivering patient-focused care across hospital settings.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Support the Physiotherapy service provision within the Clinical Programs through compassionate provision of delegated clinical tasks including (but not limited to) patient handling and implementing and monitoring specific treatment programs as determined by the treating Physiotherapist
- Educate, train, support and supervise new, less experienced Allied Health Clinical Assistants and Deadly Start Students working at The Prince Charles Hospital, including orientation to skill requirements as directed
- Represent the Prince Charles Hospital clinical assistant workforce at the Metro North Allied Health Assistant Committee and other relevant working groups or committees as delegated by the Physiotherapy Assistant Coordinator, Deputy Director Physiotherapy or Director of Physiotherapy
- Provide advice to supervisors and other stakeholders regarding professional standards, workforce issues and service development to enhance teamwork and clinical outcomes
- Fulfil the accountabilities of this role in accordance with Queensland Health's core values as well as the department's quality human resource management practices including workplace health and safety, employment equity, anti-discrimination and ethical behaviour
