You will shape pathways for diverse learners, oversee teaching and assessment quality, foster community engagement, and provide pastoral care for an entire year cohort.

This role offers the chance to influence strategy, mentor staff, and guide students' academic and personal growth within a collaborative, award-winning school community.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Work collaboratively with the Principal to lead the strategic, operational, and instructional direction of the school.
  • Support the implementation of the School Strategic Plan and Annual Implementation Plan by driving whole-school improvement priorities, including assessment literate learners and key strategic initiatives aligned to student success.
  • Lead and support high quality teaching, learning, assessment, and moderation practices across the school, using evidence based and data informed approaches to improve outcomes.
  • Provide leadership of the Year 7 cohort and oversee effective transition pathways from local feeder primary schools.
  • Lead strategic workforce planning, human resource management and timetable development to optimise staffing, structures and student outcomes.
  • Provide line management and leadership for Heads of Department, Heads of Year, year level teams, or specialist staff as allocated.
  • Build staff capability through coaching, mentoring, feedback, and targeted professional learning aligned to school priorities
  • Act as the Principal when required, ensuring continuity of leadership and effective decision making.
