Your new role:
As a Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) in the Emergency Department, you will provide advanced clinical leadership, driving high-quality, patient-centred care in a dynamic, high-acuity environment. Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, you will influence clinical practice, support staff capability, and lead quality and safety initiatives.
- Provide expert clinical consultancy and leadership in emergency nursing practice
- Lead quality improvement, clinical governance, and patient safety initiatives
- Support complex clinical decision-making and patient flow across the ED
- Mentor, coach and develop staff to strengthen capability and team performance
About you:
You are an experienced Emergency nurse with advanced clinical expertise and a passion for leadership, quality care, and continuous improvement. You thrive in fast-paced environments and bring a collaborative, solutions-focused approach to care delivery.
- Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge and experience in Emergency nursing
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to influence and support teams
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving and clinical decision-making skills
- Commitment to evidence-based practice, quality improvement and patient-centred care

The Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital (QEII) is a medium metropolitan adult facility providing a range of inpatient and outpatient services including a 24-hour Emergency Department. We provide a range of services, including surgery, cardiology, endoscopy, orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology, geriatric, respiratory and emergency medicine.
We're making our hospital bigger and better to make it easier for our growing community to get the health care they need. We'll have more beds, medical wards and expanded intensive care and emergency services planned to be opened by 2027.
