What you can expect in this role:
Your role within Digital and Technology Services (DTS), as part of the Corporate Services Division, is a critical leadership position supporting the department to deliver reliable, secure and fit for purpose digital and technology outcomes. The work you lead directly enables the department to achieve its strategic objectives and deliver services that make a meaningful difference for Queensland communities.
As the Director, Technical Delivery Management, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the delivery of technical solutions and services that align with the organisation’s strategic objectives. This role ensures the effective management of technical delivery teams, projects, and initiatives fostering innovation, collaboration, and operational excellence.

What you will be doing:
• Lead the technical delivery management function, ensuring alignment with business strategies and objectives.
• Develop and implement ICT strategies and policies that support overall business goals including system integration, security and user experience.
• Oversee the management of infrastructure services, solution design and support, and quality assurance/testing activities.
• Drive the adoption of new technologies that enhance operational efficiency and meet business requirements.
• Ensure the effective utilisation of resources, including staff, technology, and budget, to achieve organisational objectives.
• Monitor and report on the performance of technical delivery initiatives, identifying and addressing any risks or issues.
• Collaborate with other senior leaders and departments to identify technology solutions, seamless integration that improve business processes and user satisfaction.
• Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing team of technical professionals.
