The Department of Trade, Employment and Training (DTET) provides localised service delivery across the departmental priority areas of employment and training. The effective departmental service delivery is achieved through the regulation of the state's apprenticeship and traineeship system; strategic training and skills investment strategies; informing consumers about the suite of departmental programs including supporting a quality vocational education and training (VET) sector; Skilling Queenslanders for Work and providing whole of government leadership on employment and training issues.

About the role
The Team Leader is a key role responsible for leading a team to deliver regional services and programs to support workforce, training and skilling initiatives across the region. The Team Leader is a key member of the North Queensland Regional Office leadership team and supports efficient and effective service delivery by devising, coordinating, and implementing various programs, activities and initiatives across the employment, and training portfolio areas, with a collaborative and growth mindset. By fostering strong relationships with stakeholders, translating policy direction into operational activities, and supporting your team's growth and development, you will contribute to the successful delivery of regional services and programs. The Team Leader position is based in Townsville, North Queensland, and it is essential for the occupant to work from our Townsville office location including any flexible work agreement.
