About us:
Cairns Sexual Health Services is a large clinic providing free and confidential STI testing, HIV and BBV, contraception, fertility control, and transgender care. Core clients include youth, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, people living with HIV, gender diverse, and those seeking pregnancy options. The multidisciplinary team includes doctors, Clinical Nurse Consultants, Clinical Nurses, a social worker, psychologists, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers, and Health Promotion staff.

About your role:
- Assist all staff in the work area and develop a highly compatible and supportive working team, whilst demonstrating effective communication skills, empathy, and understanding in a patient-focused environment.
- Answer queries and provide accurate information to patients, visitors, and staff accessing the unit in relation to Queensland Health policy and procedures.
- Provide general administrative support including ordering of stationery, answering phone enquiries, photocopying, filing, faxing, and minute-taking as required, to enable health professional and medical staff to meet their objectives and deliver services to patients and colleagues.
- Provide a quality client service including liaising with staff, public and private patients, carers, and external agencies as required in a confidential manner.
