Your new role:

As a Tradesperson – Carpenter, you will play a key role in maintaining essential healthcare infrastructure across Metro South Health facilities. You will:

  • Deliver planned and reactive carpentry and joinery maintenance to ensure facilities remain safe, compliant and operational
  • Undertake repairs, installations and upgrades across hospital buildings and infrastructure
  • Prioritise work, manage materials and costs, and deliver high-quality outcomes with minimal supervision
  • Collaborate with internal teams and contractors to ensure works are completed efficiently with minimal disruption

About you:

You are a skilled and motivated tradesperson who takes pride in delivering quality work in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment. You are:

  • A qualified carpenter (Cert III or equivalent) with strong experience in maintenance environments
  • Able to work independently, manage priorities and solve problems effectively
  • A strong communicator with the ability to build relationships across teams and stakeholders
  • Committed to safety, quality standards and continuous improvement in your work

About the Capital and Assets / Infrastructure and Assets Division

Metro South Maintenance Services are the incumbent maintenance provider for Metro South Health Hospitals and Health Service (MSH) Facilities, with the primary objective to manage the corrective and preventative maintenance for all MSH infrastructure and facilities. Metro South's asset management objectives define the approach for delivering maintenance outcomes and the role of Maintenance management in supporting the achievement of the organisational objectives.
