We're excited to welcome a Supervisor Food Services to our Food Services team.

As a Supervisor Food Services, improving the patient's experience is the focus of your daily tasks, both directly and indirectly.  You will take pride in the high quality and nutritional food and beverage service that you and your team provide and coordinate workflow effectively to deliver meals on-time to patients.

In this position, you will work as part of a larger team in a state-of-the art kitchen facility upholding the Food Safety Plan by supervising the cleanliness,  safety of the environment, and supervising the preparation and plating of food, including the delivery to the patient bedside followed by wash up. You will liaise with the Senior Coordinator, Head Chef, Cooks, Storesperson, Patient Support Assistants (PSA's) Nutrition Assistant (NA's) and Dietitians. As a supervisor you will enable your team through clear direction and support, providing on the job assistance, feedback and be a role model for others.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Have some knowledge and the ability to use computers, access email outlook, word documents, work related software programs (i.e., completing online training, reporting incidents) and payroll system portal (i.e., viewing payslips, submitting leave request).
  • Comply, assist, implement, monitor the SCUH Food Safety Program ensuring this is understood and applied by PSA's, visitors, and contractors.
  • Coordinate, record, and supervise scheduled & unscheduled cleaning in accordance with Food Service specifications and procedures ensuring food service staff maintain a clean and safe environment and personal hygiene standards.
  • The ability to receive and make phone calls or emails to and from key stakeholders (i.e., PSA's, clinical teams, Nutrition Assistants etc.) to problem-solve identified issues, provide professional advice, offer support, give clear direction, and motivate staff to ensure food service preparation and delivery meets quality and on-time delivery standards.

Remuneration value up to $83,100 p.a., comprising salary between $69,486 - $72,833 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (OO3) ( Permanent full time, 76 hrs p.f.)
