What you will be doing:
• Provide support and supervision to all customers who are homeless or have alcohol related social issues in a caring and non-judgemental manner.
• Understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and societies, an understanding of the issues which impact upon them in a contemporary society.
• Maintain clear and concise documentation.
• Monitor customer activities within the entire centre in accordance with the centre's practices and procedures, ensuring rules of the centre are abided by.
• Carry out duties as required to maintain a healthy, safe, clean and tidy environment including the upkeep and maintenance of resident's areas.
• Liaise and communicate effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders, including customers, members of the community, police, ambulance and medical staff, departmental staff, government and non-government service providers.
• Participate in the process of continuous improvement to advance the quality and efficiency of the centre and participating as a team member in delivering culturally appropriate and well-planned services to customers.
• Support and help maintain a workplace safety culture by ensuring that all policies and practices concerning Workplace Health and Safety are applied and a part of day-to-day operations.
Mandatory Requirement
• Class C Driver's Licence
