About the role

Provide senior operational, professional and strategic nursing leadership for a specialist service that supports clinicians working with children, individuals and families experiencing vulnerability, crisis and complex risk.

This role also encompasses the Child Protection Liaison Officer (CPLO) function and provides leadership to Domestic and Family Violence, Sexual Assault and Trauma support services, working closely with statutory agencies and internal stakeholders to deliver coordinated, high‑risk responses and improved outcomes for families.

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Family Advocacy Unit, ensuring high‑quality, safe and effective service delivery through strong clinical and corporate governance.
  • Lead child protection and statutory engagement, fulfilling the CPLO role and representing NWHHS across SCAN, information‑sharing and interagency platforms.
  • Oversee specialist portfolios including Domestic and Family Violence, Sexual Assault and Trauma services, ensuring alignment with legislation, policy and best practice.

Requirements

      • Mandatory requirements are a relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences.
      • C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
      • Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
      • This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
      • A period of probation may apply.
