The Role:
Join our dynamic Aviation Operations team and play a vital role as a Ground Support Officer supporting QGAir's front-line aviation services in North Queensland. From coordinating passenger movements to supporting crews and managing on-the- ground logistics, no two days are the same. You'll play a key role behind the scenes, working closely with aircrew and operational teams to ensure safe, efficient and seamless operations.

Full-time, permanent position available in Cairns.
Key Accountabilities:
Your Key Accountabilities will include:
- Provide logistical and administrative support for ground operations in the dispatch and receipt of flights including passenger check in, preparation of flight documentation and passenger airside escort.
- Assist ACG staff, crews and passengers to ensure safe and efficient ground operations during aircraft arrival and departure.
- Provide ground support in loading and unloading of baggage, freight and other equipment.
- Assist with aircraft and facility cleanliness and operations of ground service equipment.
- Perform safe and efficient towing and repositioning of aircraft to meet operational requirements, ensuring compliance with aviation safety standards, ground handling procedures and organisational standards.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient coordination of ground support activities.
- Maintain accurate operational records and ensure compliance with aviation regulatory, organisational and airport security requirements, including safeguarding aircraft, equipment and restricted areas.
- Assist the base coordinator and engineering teams in the delivery of daily operational tasks.

What We're Looking For:
Mandatory
- Be eligible to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
Highly Desirable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Dangerous Goods Certification
Special Conditions:
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, pushing and towing heavy equipment or cargo.
- In compliance with CASA Drug and Alcohol Management Plan requirements, the preferred applicant will be required to undergo pre- employment testing and participate in the QGAir Drug and Alcohol Management Program.
