Human Resources Officer

In this role you will be key member of the human resources team delivering a range of human resource management policy and advice services to staff and senior management within Correctional Centre. It will also play a role in the overall management of resourcing for the centre including the centre's staffing and workforce reports. The position operates closely with the Human Resources Manager who has overall responsibility for HR support within the centre.

Our ideal candidate will be someone who is flexible, loves a challenge and can:
- Provide internal HR consultancy, support, and advice to management and staff to meet day-to-day HR needs, including workforce development and strategic initiatives.
- Oversee staffing and rostering processes, ensuring compliance with standards and legislative requirements, and assist with workforce planning and resource allocation.
- Support recruitment, retention, and staffing strategies to meet centre needs, including contributing to HR plans aligned with organisational objectives.
- Manage HR administrative functions such as leave management, payroll enquiries, rostering data integrity, and HR reporting to facilitate accurate and efficient HR operations.
- Build HR capacity within the centre by implementing key initiatives, supporting professional development, and contributing to HR team capability enhancement.
