About us:

The Cairns Integrated Palliative Care Service delivers palliative care across the Cairns and Hinterland and Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Services. The service supports people with life‑limiting illness and their carers, with a focus on quality of life, continuity of care across settings and illness phases, and enabling care in the person's place of choice. Strong partnerships are maintained with consumers, carers, non‑government organisations, and other government agencies.

About your role:

In this position you will....

  • Manage and participate in data and outcome measure collection reflecting activity and delivery of care.
  • Provide effective and efficient clinical management in collaboration with the Integrated Palliative Care Service and other non-government organisations to facilitate the provision of quality evidence-based care.
  • Operate with a significant degree of autonomous clinical decision-making in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Provide direct clinical care and advice in a defined practice area for a client group with diverse and/or complex care requirements, as required.
  • Initiate and conduct clinical outcome reviews in conjunction with published evidence, with a view to delivering optimal evidence-based care.
