The purpose of this role is to deliver high-quality anatomical pathology services by applying specialised histological and cytological techniques, analysing specimens and providing scientific input to support accurate diagnosis and patient care..
What you'll do
In this role you will perform histological and cytological testing including immunohistochemistry and frozen sections, analyse and validate patient results, undertake tissue dissection and specimen preparation, contribute to quality and accreditation activities, provide scientific advice to clinical teams, and support training and supervision of junior staff within a multidisciplinary laboratory environment.
About you
We are searching for someone who:
- Holds a degree in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent
- Has experience in anatomical pathology, histology or cytology
- Can apply independent scientific judgement to diagnostic testing
- Has strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Can work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
- Has knowledge of quality and accreditation standards (desirable)
