Texas P-10 State School is seeking Administration Officer to join the team.

As the Administration Officer, you will work autonomously whilst reporting to the Business Manager to support all staff, students, families and community in providing high quality administration function in an educational setting.

A high attention to detail, confidentially and empathy are a core skill to this role.

This position is being offered in a Temporary Part-Time capacity (0.23FTE), 16.5 hours per fortnight.

Located on the banks of the Dumaresq river shouldering the QLD/NSW border, Texas is a picturesque town with a strong sense of rural community and opportunity with a highly desirable agricultural industry and heritage.

South West of Brisbane and Warwick, West of Stanthorpe and East of Goondiwindi, Texas P-10 State School is home to approximately 150 students who are supported by a dedicated team of professional teachers and staff.

Step Into Your Next Chapter: 

  • Autonomy to perform. a variety of day to day administrative and support services that are routine in nature and directed by the Principal or the Business Manager.
  • Undertake routine activities including reception (telephone and counter enquiries), arranging appointments, correspondence and general administration, maintaining school records, such as incident reports, student admissions, enrolments and departures, processing incoming and outgoing mail and email, and once approved, ordering and arranging student transport for sport excursions, trips and other school activities.
  • Assist with human resources tasks for school support staff, including printing of timesheets, leave applications and rosters. Perform. a variety of other administrative or support services for school support staff, including printing of timesheets, leave applications and rosters, assisting with arranging approved relief for school support staff as directed.
