We’re looking for a dedicated Resource Management Officer to join the DPI Forestry Resource Management team. In this role, you’ll lead complex data analysis and provide timely, efficient responses to support the responsible management of Queensland’s native forest resources.
In this role, you will assess resource availability, condition, and location by analysing and managing spatial and non-spatial datasets using a range of operational and resource management systems.

Forestry is seeking a passionate and skilled individual to join our team as a Resource Management Officer. In this vital role, you'll engage in diverse and analytical work, focusing on native forest resource management data in Queensland.
You'll help answer important questions about resource availability, condition, and location, contributing to the responsible management of our forests. We're looking for someone with a keen eye for detail, excellent time management, and strong problem-solving skills. Most importantly, we value a positive attitude and a willingness to contribute to our close-knit and supportive team.
You will bring advanced skills in manipulating spatial and non-spatial datasets across various systems to interpret, analyse, and manage operational and resource management data. Proficiency in spatial analysis tools is essential, with the ability to transform technical knowledge into high-quality spatial products. You will also be able to demonstrate that you have the skills to introduce efficiencies in the collection, storage and analysis of resource management data to support innovative solutions.
In addition, you will have exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to discuss complex technical tasks with a diverse range of stakeholders, including Forestry staff and state and federal agencies.
