Your opportunity
As an Inclusion Coach, you will work as part of the school's leadership and improvement agenda to build staff capability and strengthen inclusive teaching and learning practices, ensuring every student can belong, access, participate and succeed.
This position is ideally suited to a skilled inclusive teacher leader with demonstrated experience in coaching, mentoring or leading pedagogical improvement and with a strong understanding of inclusive education practices and the use of reasonable adjustments and support provisions in mainstream classrooms.
Your role
• Lead, model and support high quality coaching and mentoring cycles with teachers to support pedagogy, curriculum delivery and student outcomes, particularly for diverse learners
• Support whole school and targeted teaching and learning initiatives through evidence informed practice, and professional dialogue
• Work alongside teachers to design, implement and review reasonable adjustments and inclusive strategies that enable students to fully participate in learning alongside their peers
• Promote high expectations for all students by embedding inclusive education principles into curriculum planning, classroom practice and assessment
• Partner with school leaders, Heads of Department and support staff to align coaching work with school improvement priorities and system initiatives
• Use data and multiple sources of evidence to design, monitor and implement impactful interventions, reflect on practice, and strategically inform next steps across classroom, cohort and whole school levels
• Contribute to a safe, respectful and collaborative professional culture that values diversity, wellbeing and continuous learning
• Actively support Education Queensland's commitment to inclusive education by respecting, protecting and promoting the rights of all students and staff
