Our Infrastructure and Precincts, Precincts and Venues team provides regionally significant venues that are fully accessible and inclusive to influence and inspire active experiences for Queenslanders.

Gold Coast Performance Centre (GCPC), located at Runaway Bay, is a leader in the sport and recreation industry. GCPC's modern training facilities are designed both as an elite training venue and a community facility for health and fitness. The Centre caters to beginner athletes and school sporting teams, as well as hosting international and national sporting teams in purpose-built accommodation lodges.

Sport and Recreation supports and encourages participation and success in sport and active recreation through delivery of; grant funding for sport and active recreation organisations and clubs, infrastructure and participation programs, the operation of precincts and venues, and through engaging and partnering with the active industry across Queensland.  

We're investing in our community to enrich the Queensland way of life through sport and active recreation, and we're also working to enable Queensland to deliver the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games on time and on budget.  

Reporting to the Sports Operations Manager, the Program Coordinator role covers a key team leadership function within our Sports Operations team as direct line manager for three of our busiest frontline teams: Reception, Memberships and Childcare. Together these teams provide quality customer service to our 3000+ gym members and in-house guests at the Gold Coast Performance Centre. The ability to drive operational efficiency, resolve issues proactively, and lead frontline teams to achieve a high standard of customer service day after day will be crucial to success in this role. 

In this role you will:  

Efficiently manage frontline teams to deliver quality customer service to the venue's clients.  

Ensure membership services at the venue comply with workplace health and safety requirements, and industry regulations and standards.  

Perform a leadership role in ensuring appropriate standards of client services and relationship management within the venue and with the local community.  

Liaise, consult, negotiate and develop partnerships with appropriate stakeholders in relation to the delivery of services and coordination of facility usage across the Venue.  

Negotiate, procure and manage contracts with suppliers.  

Manage implementation, training and troubleshooting of memberships software, POS (point of sale) and facility booking systems.  

Ensure delivery of quality experiences members and guests in a safe and appropriate manner.  

Contribute to the development of plans, strategies and team goals.  

Contribute to a workplace culture based on values and behaviours, ensuring a positive work environment that is safe, healthy, diverse, respectful and inclusive.
