About the Role:
Join a major public sector Qld Government agency as a key contributor, leading support for SAP Plant Maintenance (PM)/Enterprise Asset Management(EAM) for a large asset base consisting of more than 1,260 schools, over 36,000 learning spaces and support facilities, and 27 outdoor and environmental education centres across Qld.
A permanent public servant position (A07) has arisen within the team.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver configuration and customisation discussions in consultation across business end-user stakeholders.
- Collaborative with technical teams to ensure fit-for-purpose solutions that meet business requirements.
- Support successful delivery of solutions through strong stakeholder management and hands-on involvement through leading the enhancement.
As the Principal SAP Functional Analyst, Logistics, you will:
- Be working within the SAP Business Support Unit, which involves members of a multi-disciplinary team supporting the department's SAP instance that covers the following SAP modules, Finance and Controlling (FICO) (including GL, CO, AA, AR and AP), Investment Management, Materials Management (MM), Plant Maintenance (PM), Project Systems (PS) and Business Warehouse / Business Intelligence (BW/BI).
- Research, analyse, evaluate and provide advice on business and systems requirements and the support of the solution to achieve the objectives of the SAP Support Unit within the department.
The Principal SAP Functional Analyst, Logistics reports to the Manager, SAP Functional Team, Financial Business Systems, Financial Services, Finance, Procurement and Facilities, Corporate and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Service
Successful applicants to this vacancy will be assessed on their demonstrated work experience and skills to undertake the following core role duties:
- Strong ability to understand business processes and recommend options and implement solutions to enhance business performance and reform business processes.
- Providing relevant SAP functional expertise, guidance and training to end users as required.
- Ability to translate business needs into well written, unambiguous functional requirements and deliver business requirements using standard SAP functionality.
- Ability to liaise, consult and negotiate effectively with support stakeholders and team members in relation to support activities.
- Prepare test plans relevant to any changes and enhancements being developed.
- Design and development of Proof of Concepts to validate ideation and solutions.
- Work independently when required to achieve agreed outcomes.
- Assist in building working relationships with clients through the use of effective communication skills.
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality support related processes and procedures to ensure a high-quality outcome for clients of the support unit.
Highly Desirable Attributes:
- Minimum of 5 years proven experience in SAP implementations.
- Minimum 5 years proven experience in one or more relating to Enterprise Asset Management or Plant Maintenance Systems or Project Systems SAP modules.
- Experience in SAP S/4HANA and supporting transitions from SAP ERP6 to S/4HANA.
- SAP certification in relevant modules
- Experience in projects managed under PRINCE2 ; ITSM change framework or AGILE.
