You will be experienced in providing strategic and operational support to senior leaders, including coordinating correspondence, briefs, advice and ad hoc matters that occur in the day-to-day operations of a large department.
You will have extensive experience in provision of high-level specialist support, coordination, preparation, and management of workflow to ensure timely responses to issues required by the Deputy Director-General, Director General and Minister, on a wide range of sensitive departmental functions. You will have experience in provision of support in relation to Cabinet and Parliamentary requirements.

As Manager, Office of the Deputy Director-General, you will:
- Manage the Office of the Deputy Director-General, Disability Services, including overseeing and coordinating a small team with responsibility for the timely flow of all executive and Ministerial correspondence, briefs, media responses, discussion papers and other responses sought that require input.
- Maintain high quality systems and processes to ensure the office of the Deputy Director-General, Disability Services, operates to the highest standards of efficiency and effectiveness in managing and generating outcomes against its accountabilities.
- Manage and coordinate responses to all Ministerial and executive documents in an effective and timely manner, including reviewing and critically evaluating correspondence and briefings to ensure quality, relevance, appropriateness and compliance with departmental and relevant whole of government guidelines.
- Build positive relationships and develop and maintain networks within the Disability Services Division, the Department and across government, to support operations and the delivery of outcomes.
- Demonstrate leadership and proactivity in a dynamic work area, focused on service excellence and client outcomes.
- Contribute effectively to the Government's and department's priorities and reform agenda, including by staying abreast of key reports, research and developments.
- Manage special projects allocated by the Deputy Director-General, which may be of high priority and sensitivity.
A NDIS Workers Screening clearance is mandatory before commencing.
The role is predominately office based, with occasional opportunity to work from home.
