Your new Role:
The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) – Patient Flow provides strategic and operational leadership across the Patient Flow Program, including Bed Management, Transit Care Hub and After Hours Nurse Manager Service.
You will lead multidisciplinary teams, ensure safe staffing and patient access, and drive performance against service, quality and financial targets. With accountability for governance, resource management and service delivery, you will use data and contemporary models of care to improve patient outcomes and system efficiency.
About You:
You are an experienced and strategic nursing leader with a strong track record in patient flow, service optimisation and clinical governance, capable of leading multidisciplinary teams, managing complex operations and driving system-wide improvements in care delivery. You will have
- Proven leadership in patient flow, bed management and access
- Strong governance, risk and quality improvement expertise
- Advanced data analysis and performance management capability
- Experience managing budgets, resources and workforce planning
- Highly developed stakeholder engagement and change leadership skills

The Patient Flow Program
The Patient Flow Program improves patient flow and care coordination across Logan and Beaudesert Health Service and Metro South Health.
It includes:
- Bed Management Unit: Manages patient movement across acute beds
- Transit Care Hub: Supports admissions, transfers and discharges
- After Hours Nurse Manager Service: Oversees staffing, operations and escalations 24/7
Together, these services enable safe, timely and efficient patient care.
