Step Into Your Next Chapter:

The position is to support year 3-6 students and to lead our 3-6 teaching teams and the specialist staff, developing the capability of the staff in realising our school vision through effective data analysis conversations and choosing best pedagogies to increase the % of students achieving A&B.

Another strong element of the role is to grow and deepen our school culture - support staff and students in developing a stronger sense of internal control psychology (intrinsic motivation- Choice Theory) and aligning school systems to match this underlying philosophy.

You would also be responsible for leading the Maths Driving Team, and our cluster M in SteM project. Additionally experience in BYOD iPads would be an advantage to support our Yr 3-6 classes who have begun BYOD this year.

Strong knowledge of curriculum teaching and learning, including Visible teaching models would be appreciated.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist the Principal to lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Deputise for the Principal when required.
  • Uphold the deputy principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
  • Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
  • Set high standards for student and staff performance.
