About the Team
The Critical Care team provides dedicated administrative support to a group of highly specialised clinical services, including Medical Imaging, Anaesthetic, Cardiac Services, Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), and Queensland Interdisciplinary Paediatric Persistent Pain Service. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, the administrative staff play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth coordination of patient care, from referral and booking through to discharge and follow-up. The team is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred support in a fast-paced and complex healthcare environment, contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of critical and elective services across the hospital.
About the Role
In this role you will create systems to sustain high quality delivery for children, young people and families (Leader of Leaders) in accordance with the Children's Health Queensland Leadership Excellence Framework and the Queensland Public Service and the CHQ values. Your contribution will include:
- Provide a high level of leadership and management of the administration staff within the Division to ensure services are delivered within agreed timeframes, quality standards and budgetary constraints.
- Recruit, coach, mentor and performance manage administration staff, to develop capabilities of the teams to undertake changing roles, responsibilities and to provide for succession within the services.
- Perform a range of management and administration tasks and monitor work priorities to ensure delivery of an efficient and effective consumer focused services aligned with the Divisional strategic goals.
- Lead and promote continual improvement in the administrative services as well as the division by reviewing work practices to ensure standards are met and continual improvement are maintained.
