An opportunity as a Collection Management System Administrator has become available at Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art (QAGOMA).
The Collection Management System Administrator provides the operational continuity and administrative capability required to support improved governance, data integrity, and effective use of Museum Plus as part of QAGOMA's core digital infrastructure.
The position provides practical, hands-on support to staff across the Registration, Conservation, Curatorial, Exhibition Management, Exhibition Design, Governance, Imaging, and Digital teams, helping embed agreed ways of working and support consistent system use across the organisation.
The position is available for commencement in July 2026.

Key duties include:
- Administer and support QAGOMA's Collection Management System (MuseumPlus) by providing day-to-day system administration that ensures the CMS operates reliably as a Gallery-wide platform and supports consistent, sustainable use across teams.
- Manage user access, permissions, and security controls by administering user accounts and access settings in line with agreed governance, security, and privacy requirements, under the direction of Digital Systems.
- Provide practical user support and guidance by responding to system enquiries from staff across Registration, Conservation, Curatorial, Exhibitions, Design, Imaging, and Digital, and helping users work effectively within agreed CMS processes.
- Support system configuration, reporting, and routine maintenance by assisting with configuration updates, producing standard and ad hoc reports, and supporting routine system maintenance and controlled changes.

Builds and maintains positive working relationships with colleagues across Registration, Conservation, Curatorial, Exhibition Management, Exhibition Design, Imaging, Digital and other users as required.
Technical
Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise information systems, ideally within a cultural, collections, or data-rich environment.
- Experience with collection management systems such as MuseumPlus, EMu, or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Applications will remain current for a period of up to 12 months and may be considered for other vacancies (identical or similar)
- Appointments are subject to criminal history checks in accordance with section 52 of the Public Sector Act 2022.
