Your new role:
We are seeking an exceptional leader to join Metro South Health's Clinical Governance team in pivotal roles focused on strengthening clinical standards, policy, and governance frameworks across a large and complex health service. You will:
- Provide strategic, operational and professional leadership in clinical governance, standards, and policy across a multi-site healthcare environment
- Lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of organisation-wide governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with legislative, regulatory and accreditation requirements
- Oversee and support clinical governance committees, policy frameworks and organisational processes to drive quality, safety and patient-centred care
- Collaborate with executive leadership, multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to deliver effective, evidence-based and high-performing healthcare services
About you:
You are a strategic and influential leader with a passion for clinical governance, quality improvement and delivering safe, high-quality healthcare outcomes across complex systems. You have:
- Demonstrated experience leading clinical governance, policy development and compliance within large, complex healthcare environments
- Highly developed leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at executive and system-wide levels
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with experience using data to inform decision-making, improve performance and manage risk
- Proven ability to lead change, drive continuous improvement and embed governance frameworks that support quality, safety and innovation.
Additionally:
- For the ADON role: Registration as a Registered Nurse with relevant qualifications
- For the Assistant Director role: Allied Health (or relevant) qualification with eligibility for professional registration/membership

The Metro South Clinical Governance, Risk and Legal division works with executives, senior managers, clinical/non-clinical staff and consumers to ensure that Metro South Health has an effective, coordinated organisational wide approach to quality improvement, clinical effectiveness, healthcare standard, patient safety, patient experience and consumer liaison services. This ensures Metro South Health's approach to clinical governance remains contemporary, customer focused and based on the best available evidence.
