About us:
Central Queensland Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Service (CQMHAODS) provides specialist mental health, substance and alcohol related care to residents of Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast, Gladstone, Central Highlands and Banana areas with services located in each area. Rockhampton is the principal service centre and location of the acute adult inpatient facilities. An Adult Step-Up Step-Down facility located in Gladstone and an Adult Community Care Unit located in Rockhampton. Join us as we step into the future of mental health care in Central Queensland. You'll be part of the team delivering care in the brand-new Adult Inpatient Mental Health Service, opening soon at Rockhampton Hospital.
About the role:
- This roles provides psychosocial assessment, therapy interventions, monitoring and evaluation of high-quality social work services for patient/clients of Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service within the Mental Health inpatient units in Rockhampton and supports transfer of care to community settings for the consumers of the CQMHAODS service.
- Within a multidisciplinary framework undertake routine tasks, ensuring the implementation of individual assessment, diagnosis, treatment, follow-up, multidisciplinary consultation, liaison with referring agents, family supports, discharge planning and evaluation of care using appropriate outcome and data measurement systems.
- As experience builds, apply increasingly independent clinical judgement to more complex clinical decision making under the clinical practice supervision or professional guidance of a more senior clinician.
- Actively participate in the development of clinical practices, procedures, and protocols, engaging in cross-discipline referencing where relevant.
- Provide general clinical advice on the impact of psychosocial factors for patients and/or their family/carer to relevant health staff and managers regarding service delivery.
About you:
- The possession of a tertiary degree in Social Work providing eligibility for membership in the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) is mandatory.
- The successful applicant must not have any outstanding professional competency or ethical issues, or complaints known to the AASW which may preclude membership to the Association.
- The successful applicant must maintain their continuing professional development at a level that would at least meet the accreditation standards of the AASW.
- The successful applicant is required to uphold the AASW Practice Standards 2013 and, if applicable, the AASW Practice Standards for Mental Health Social Workers 2014 and abide by the AASW Code of Ethics.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $132,567 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $43.68 - $58.59 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
