As a Business Support Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the operational continuity of the Department of Primary Industries (DPI). You will work with passion and purpose to support the Facilities & Fleet team in delivering high-quality administrative and operational outcomes. This role offers variety, autonomy and the opportunity to contribute to the department's mission of preserving and protecting Queensland's biosecurity.
Key responsibilities:
Manage inventory requests: Document and maintain data integrity while flagging any issues to your supervisor.
Support financial processes: Prepare and reconcile financial documentation, verify invoices and correct data errors in departmental systems.
Collaborate effectively: Liaise with internal teams, external stakeholders and other business units to enhance service delivery and achieve business outcomes.
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking a motivated individual with strong organisational skills, attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
While there are no mandatory qualifications for this role, the following will be highly regarded:
A current unrestricted ‘C' class driver's licence.
Previous experience in an administrative role, particularly in inventory management or financial processes.
You will demonstrate key leadership competencies as an individual contributor, including adaptability, ethical decision-making and the ability to build enduring relationships. More than anything, you will bring a positive attitude and a commitment to continuous improvement.
