The purpose of this role is to provide operational supervision within microbiology specimen reception and pre-analytical services, leading staff, coordinating workflows and ensuring high-quality, compliant laboratory operations.
What you'll do
In this role you will supervise and coordinate clinical assistant teams, manage pre-analytical laboratory processes, deliver training and support staff development, oversee quality, stock and compliance activities, maintain operational capability by performing laboratory duties, support stakeholder engagement, and ensure efficient and accurate service delivery across a shift-based environment.
About you
We are searching for someone who:
- Has experience in laboratory support or pathology environments
- Has demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience
- Can manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Has strong communication, influencing and stakeholder engagement skills
- Has experience in training, coaching or staff development
- Has strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
