We're excited to welcome an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Senior Educator to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Team, as a lead professional educator who promotes excellence in education and workforce development within a multidisciplinary environment.
Employed by Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service, the Senior Educator works in partnership with the Office of the Chief Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workforce (CATSIHWO) and local stakeholders to plan, develop, and manage ongoing professional development and training.
The incumbent to this role will have demonstrated experience as a practicing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioner or Health Worker and be recognised for their cultural and clinical expertise within their field and communities.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Provide high-level advice to HHS profession specific Educators, and Executive Directors of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander workforce education, cultural safety, and best practice approaches.
- Design and deliver education programs that align with professional and cultural standards, ensuring the education content is contemporary, effective, and tailored to learner needs and that cultural safety and capability frameworks are maintained.
- Provide leadership and expertise in education and training for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workforce across multiple HHSs, providing professional, clinical, and cultural supervision and mentoring.
Remuneration value up to $162 080 p.a., comprising salary between $128 054 - $142 056 p.a. (f/t), or salary rates: $64.58 - $71.64 p.h. (p/t), employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HWF5) (full time or part time position available, hours negotiable).
