About the role
As Nursing Director – Rehabilitation, you will provide senior professional and strategic leadership to nursing services across Community and Oral Health (COH) Rehabilitation. This role is pivotal in shaping how rehabilitation care is delivered across inpatient and community settings, ensuring services are safe, sustainable, evidence‑based and genuinely consumer/person centred.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Schedule 2, Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health Award) (2015) - Generic Level Statements (GLS) Grade 11 and the Queensland Health and Metro North Health's commitments and values, in achievement of the organisational goals and Domains of Practice.
- Facilitate practice of self and others is in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.
- Undertake, and participate in ethical decision making in the achievement of organisational goals.
- Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to identify and prioritise needs accessing both material and human resources through effective negotiation and communication to achieve cost effective consumer/person centred service delivery including Business Planning Framework (BPF) application.
- Undertake effective leadership and management of service planning, service delivery, workforce capacity, practice management and service outcomes for nursing and midwifery that support the continuum of care within an evidence-based framework which is responsive to current and future service needs.
