We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.
- Salary range: $157,579 to $164,519 p.a. (Nurse Grade 8)
- 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
- 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
- Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
About your opportunity
The Neonatal Unit provides the only tertiary neonatal service outside Brisbane. The Neonatal Unit has 22 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and 28 Special Care Nursery (SCN) cots and coordinates the Neonatal Retrieval / Transport Service for the North Queensland area. The Nurse Practitioner functions autonomously and collaboratively at an advanced practice and expanded clinical role.
Requirements:
Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration
- Qualification: Master of Nursing Science (Nurse Practitioner) or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.
- Nursing: Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Completion of Neonatal Specific Competencies is mandatory for nursing staff working within the Neonatal Unit.
- Driver Licence: This position requires the applicant to possess an appropriate license to operate a Class C (car) motor vehicle.
