Community Recovery is the lead agency for the provision of human and social recovery support to Queenslanders impacted by disasters including the provision of personal financial support, emotional support and recovery activities.
The Long-Term Recovery and Resilience team (LTRR) establishes and manages long-term recovery and resilience programs to support communities affected by disaster events.
This position provides advice and high-quality customer service, support and assistance to suppliers on contract processes and compliance, funding requirements and effective service delivery requirements. A critical part of the role includes conducting financial eligibility and compliance assessments in line with the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) and providing guidance to suppliers to ensure their activities and expenditure are in line with the funding requirements and guidelines. This position may also support procurement planning, sourcing, evaluation, and supplier selection, ensuring that all contracts are established in alignment with Queensland Government procurement policies, the DRFA, and departmental objectives. The position is responsible for developing, maintaining and updating accurate records and documentation to ensure effective monitoring, reporting and management of procurement and contract management processes.
The successful candidate will ideally have end-to-end procurement and/or contract management experience preferably relating to human and social services in the public sector. You will require strong financial acumen with an ability to interpret and analyse financial information from suppliers. To be successful in this role, you will require strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to influence and drive outcomes. You will be proactive and have strong critical analysis and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to escalate issues/risks.
