Senior Advisor (Finance)


Permissions Management & Ecotourism; QPWS & Partnerships; Flexible

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Permissions Management and Ecotourism Branch within Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service. The position will be a key financial support role for the Branch in providing quality financial management, delivery and reporting to senior management and business areas in a timely manner. The position will also assist with budget management within the Branch, including allocation, preparation of monthly reports, monitoring, as well as undertaking general financial management tasks.

What you need for this role:
• Role model Individual Contributor leadership behaviours as outlined in the Leadership competencies for Queensland.
• Demonstrated financial management and budgetary skills with experience in a range of financial management systems (eg. Microsoft Excel, SAP, Financial Reporter) with the ability to propose and implement effective solutions.
• Proven ability to communicate with a range of clients and team members, including the capacity to prepare monthly and annual reports, project plans, technical reports, submissions, correspondence and provide high level advice.
• Demonstrated high degree of initiative, research abilities and logical thinking in the development of processes, guidelines and standards related to financial and administrative systems.
• Demonstrated organisational skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and bring tasks to completion.
• Demonstrate how you can support our commitment to workplace safety, equity, diversity, respect and inclusion.
