An exciting opportunity is available to join the Student Services team at Glenala State High School as an Administration Officer. In this role, you will provide high-quality administrative and operational support, managing emails, correspondence, and documentation efficiently while maintaining accurate records and data systems. You will assist with scheduling, bookings, and calendar coordination, and support team members with daily office tasks. This role will also provide support to the Student Services Sick Bay and assist with student departures as required.

About the Role:

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Support teaching and learning by assisting with classroom activities, literacy and numeracy programs, small group or individual student work, and supervising educational tasks under teacher direction.
  • Provide student care and wellbeing support, including assisting students with special needs, maintaining respectful and empathetic interactions, ensuring safety, and administering first aid where qualified.
  • Assist with school operations and administration, including clerical tasks, record keeping, managing class rolls, handling student payments, and preparing teaching materials.
  • Help organise and supervise school activities such as excursions, sports, playground and bus duties, and contribute to a safe and well-managed environment.
  • Manage resources and equipment by preparing, maintaining, stocktaking, and supporting practical class activities (e.g. science, cooking), while ensuring proper care and organisation of materials.
