Driver-Utility Officer

You will be part of the Operations Team located at Queensland Police Service Academy. As part of this team some of your duties will include:
- Provide transportation of staff and recruits of the Academy, other Police Service personnel and external clients.
Assist with academy cleaning and maintenance tasks. Assist with transport deliveries in line with RDC requirements.
- Assist with cleaning, service and maintenance of QPS vehicles.
You will provide an effective and efficient support service to staff and clients of the Queensland Police Academy, Oxley, Wacol.

You will be part of the Operations Team located at Queensland Police Service Academy. As part of this team some of your duties will include. You will provide an effective and efficient support service to staff and clients of the Queensland Police Academy, Oxley, Wacol.
The core capability requirements for this role are:
• Provide transportation of staff and recruits of the Academy, other Police Service personnel and external clients.
• Undertake basic administrative and support to assist the RDC Operations RDC facilities team.
• Assist with the planning and monitoring of repairs/maintenance to Campus buildings, grounds, equipment/resources and vehicles, including cleaning, fuelling, vehicle service coordination, general vehicle inspections and auditing of vehicle logbooks.
• Carry out minor repairs, maintenance and cleaning to facilities, grounds, equipment, machinery and vehicles. This includes mowing, edging, trimming plants and trees, hedging, etc.
• Assist with the security of Campus buildings, grounds, vehicles and resources.
• Comply with work health and safety requirements, including safe storage and/or disposal of fuel products and chemicals.
Role requirements:
• The applicant must have a minimum of a Light Rigid (LR) licence. Bus driving experience is required.
• Proven experience in larger passenger vehicles and basic vehicle maintenance.
• It is desirable the applicant has experience in gardening / horticulture with some knowledge of plants, pest control and natural fertilizers. May be required to assist with grounds keeping duties.
