Your new role:

Take the next step in your specialist training with a unique senior registrar opportunity designed to support your transition toward consultant practice through advanced surgical exposure, leadership experience and high-volume clinical care, including:

  • Opportunity to complete the Advanced Laparoscopic and Hysteroscopic ATM
  • Dedicated advanced training in laparoscopic and hysteroscopic procedures
  • Exposure to complex pelvic pain and severe endometriosis surgery
  • Participation in consultant/senior staff rosters with supported first on-call experience
  • Running operating lists, outpatient clinics and supervising junior doctors
  • Senior after-hours Birth Suite experience in a busy high-risk obstetric unit
  • Inpatient, outpatient and emergency obstetrics & gynaecology care
  • Involvement in teaching, audit, leadership and service improvement initiatives

About you:

We are looking for a motivated and capable Advanced Trainee who is ready to grow clinically and professionally, with:

  • Current registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia
  • RANZCOG Advanced Trainee status or eligibility to undertake Fellowship training
  • Strong clinical skills in obstetrics and gynaecology, including emergency management
  • Interest in advanced gynaecological surgery and laparoscopic practice
  • Excellent communication skills with patients, families and multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to lead, mentor and support junior medical staff
  • Commitment to education, continuous learning and quality improvement
  • Professionalism, integrity and patient-centred care values

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.

We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.

Our services will continue to grow as we build bigger and better facilities to support the community. By 2027, we'll have more beds and 5 more birthing suites as part of the Logan Hospital expansion.
